Stanley seems pretty amazed that Zero was able to quickly calculate the number of days it would take to learn the letters of the alphabet. While Zero didn't know how to read, he was able to think about numbers easily.
Why do you think Stanley decided to help Zero read? The Lump wasn't Caveman, he was. p. 47 All the boys have nicknames. Even though Stanley didn't choose his nickname "Caveman", he seems to like it. Why does he like his nickname? Use details from the story to support your answer.
